  1. Yes we use real blood! We have always bought cow or pig’s blood from the asian market for our blood baking series. I also do order pig’s blood regularly at hotpot! But still, my reaction was genuine… it smelled like a barnyard in our kitchen.

Okay so the blood couldve maybe become brown for two reasons? 1- When blood dries out it turns brown so whilst boiling it could have dried out? 2- Maybe it is just a thing for blood to turn brown if its being boiled, cooked ect. (Edit: Okay so i googled and found out that theres a material in blood called hemoglobin that turns red when its oxygenated and it turns brown when it goes under chemical changes)
