And sorry, I am NOT try to body-shame anyone, I felt the same way with Myra from the other video so here it goes:
Using a cosplay that isn't yours is dumb enough, but wearing something that's obviously (painfully, might I add) the wrong size??
And not even adding a panel to make it fit??? Seriously??

I finished my first totally handmade cosplay last year and I wanted to try to compete with it this year at a local con… Stories like this make me scared to enter the community 🙁

Holy crap I actually met this person at incrediblecon 3 years ago and even I was fooled into thinking that they made this cosplay themselves.

hey! could i possibly offer up a slight accessibility adjustment? you kept putting “flashing lights warning next 5 seconds” and as someone who uses those warnings, i thought that meant FOR the next 5 seconds, not IN 5 seconds they’d start happening, so i actually ended up looking back at the screen WHILE the flashing effect was still happening. luckily it wasn’t an effect that was able to cause symptoms for me, but could be an issue especially with stronger effects. a slight wording change to “flashing lights warning in the next 5 seconds” (and also possibly telling us how long!) in the future would definitely be appreciated!!

the OG cosplayer who made the costume is so cool & gracious too… like the 'winner' couldn't have stolen from a nicer person…

I like to mention that galaxy con has runway and preformance contests on Friday and Sunday, both of which can be entered with store bought or commissioned cosplays!

Im a little sad. We have a con in two weeks and one of the judges for the Contest bought all her Cosplays. I know her and i also know that she never sew anything by herself. She also posted only videos of her Unboxing a Cosplay she bought. I think she ist only in the judges because she know the head of the convetion.

From someone who has painted wargame figures for years, there is one big giveaway, weathering isnt something you do later, its a part of how you paint from start to finish, its also not something you just magically perfect, so the gove away is thay none of her freddy stuff has the slightest signs of someone learning how to do weathering techniques which is exactly whst I would expect from those videos, the thousand projects you painted, stuffed up and ended up throwing away or the reason the end product is block painted is because its the easiest way to clean up weathering gone wrong. Hit it with a high density pigment paint, which Yellow isnt one of, so the freddy stuff thata all yellow eas yellow from the start. Also there are priming techniques that are not shown that you just get into the habit of when you are doing weathering as the key yo good weathering is to start with a diverse primer layer which forces the shading on the top layers to take on different shades.
