  1. Sorry Adam, but that Form is definitely not to scale with your body. The legs alone are nearly 2x the size of yours and the belly bulge is way too big.

  2. Interesting how we all still use anachronistic phrases for things. I'm sure Adam didn't actually get out an old VHS camcorder and "video tape" himself. In the age of digital imaging that is so ubiquitous, why do we still say "I'm filming a video." Or, even worse, "I'm video taping this." We still say "tin foil" even though aluminum foil has been around since 1910. We still say we are "dialing" a phone number, when the DTMF system replaced the pulse dialing method as early as 1963, and NO ONE born after say, 1985 has ever seen a telephone with a rotary dial, except in a museum. We still say "tune in" when all of our entertainment media is delivered via digital means. If "radios" are involved, it is most likely still a digital medium operating in the Gigahertz range. Weird.

  3. I already see a future modification. As you said, a costume is heavy. And the stand is not centric, nor is the platform wide enough. There is a big risk that it will fall over.

  4. Man complains about the expense of rare vintage dress forms. Also, man unboxes $8000 dress form. Two things can be true, I guess. I'm into it. Wish I could afford one.

  5. watching you being a chaos gremlin opening it is AMAZING – Also – I really need to get one myself, my goal is to start making my own things that fit me much better than store bought – and modify store bought.

  6. I would take off the metal plates that the hands come with and machine new ones (with bosses on the arms or without) that fall in place when the arms are UP and lock in position when they're pointed anywhere but UP. Kinda like how split (multipurpose, screwdriver and can opener) scissors work.

  7. I just finished watching the season 9 simpsons episode of mythbusters, and I was curious what came of Homer after the episode was over?

  8. Doesn't Adam have a 3D print of his head? It need to be installed on this for building of space suits. After the ruler on the left arm of course.

  9. i love how he acts like a kid at Christmas!!! does any one else want to put his tattoo on the form? i would LOVE that!!

  10. This type of dress form, is EXACTLY what the historical re-enactors, and cosplayers have been waiting for, and praying for…for decades!

  11. I hope Adam retrofits that 3d scan of his head onto this stand, allowing him to see how headgear would fit with the rest of whatever costume is on the form.

  12. Going off the merit badge motif, the entire de-merit badge bundle could be called the “Senior Shop Leader Bundle” ( riffing off of a senior patrol leader title from scouting). Because whoever has earned the de-merit badges has definitely been around the shop a few times!
