In Japan, a lot of women love cosplay. First, it’s a creative hobby. Making outfits, doing makeup, and becoming a character feels exciting and satisfying. Second, cosplay brings people together. Events and photooots are friendly places to meet others who enjoy the same things. And also, it’s a break from everyday life. School, work, or routine can be tiring. So, cosplaying gives a fun escape. For many, cosplay is creativity, community, and joy all at once.
