I tried to Buy EVERY KPop Demon Hunters Costume

This is the roomie from K-pop Demon Hunters look that I was going for. And this is what I got for $14.99 on the Walmart website. No, it’s not an official costume from the brand. And yes, it is a children’s size, but honestly, once we accessorize it, it might not be awful. This is really short. We’re going to see how this roomy cosplay compares to a $100 version, a high-end $250 version. And finally, we were supposed to have a $2,000 professional cosplay version. I’m sure you’re wondering why this video is on my second channel. Maybe you didn’t even realize you were on my second channel. Hi, welcome to Hang with Hope Scope. So, this video was supposed to go on the actual hope scope channel. However, we ran into an issue with the main outfit, like the $2,000 outfit. But the rest of the looks actually turned out really cute, so I didn’t want to like scrap this video entirely. I’ll get more into what happened later, but please enjoy. I tried to buy every K-pop demon hunters costume. But first, we need some accessories for our $25 outfit. All right, feel free to hit me with all of your Roomie from Teimu jokes because that’s actually where we got all of these accessories. Starting with the hair. We were really really on a budget here to like do this whole look for $25. So, we found these $3 purple hair extensions to make the braid with. Okay, they are claiming that they’re 30 in, but we’re going to actually test that. There’s 14 different colors, too, which is fun. And then they’re claiming based on this picture that with one of these hair pieces, you can make this braid. So, let’s see if we can make it happen. I’m bringing in our resident Pinterest hair stylist expert to help me, Aspen. Yay. Okay, let’s measure them. They are Oh, yeah. 31 even. I know. I was surprised. So, my original plan was to like get the purple hair and then get some like temporary purple hair dye and like blend it all, but the temporary dye was not in the budget. So, I probably should have gotten pink hair. It might look cool though. The pink and the purple mixed together. I think it’s going to look so cool. Okay, great. Did you watch the movie? Yes. I freaking cried. thing. Time for the reveal. Oh my gosh, that looks so good. Wait, the top looks cool. All the colors. I know. I love this. You killed it for $3. Yeah, this fake hair is actually like the perfect texture for this exact thing cuz it’s kind of like crimped so it fluffs really easily. Honestly, the hair might save this whole $25 look. And we were saying if you buy one more pack for $3 more dollars, you could probably make it so long, like her actual length. But I like this length. Okay, another important piece of our roomy look is the tattoos. Not to like spoil the movie or anything for you, but she has demon tattoos. So, we searched and searched and Teimu has this whole pack for $3 of what’s called Lightning and Blood Vessel temporary tattoos. Then out of all of the ones that they have, there’s only one sheet of the purple. So that’s really all we’re using. But wait, they’re not bad, actually. For how cheap they were. Yeah, we’re probably not going to use the black and the red. But look at those. They’re kind of perfect. It’s like just enough that I can probably do like my forearm. Oh yeah, forearm. And then if it kind of ends on my finger, that could be cool. Duh. Oh my gosh. That works so good. Wait, that’s actually so cool. If you got like several packs of that, that’s so good. Why am I kind of liking the $25 outfit? Okay, one more on the other hand and then our final piece of our outfit. [Music] Oh my gosh, it’s so good. I love it. The hardest part of pulling this costume together and staying within the budget was the boots because I basically had $5 and $5 boots don’t exist. But guess what does exist for $5? Boot covers. I feel like a lot of costumes just come with these anyway. Wait, they even have like bottoms. Okay, it’s not going to be great, but it’s they’re literally like the covers that you would wear if it was raining. A listen, it’s going to give the illusion of Ruby’s boots. It’s going to be great. Okay, here is our final first look. I honestly think this is so good for $25. We have hair and tattoos and all. Like, if it’s already starting off this strong, I can’t wait to see how our other outfits look in comparison. But this hair is going to be tough to beat. It was diyed with love. So, and the costume goes on. That’s all I can ask for. It even has like little tassels, though. So, like there’s some details for sure. This little tie, wannabe tie, and the boots are goofy, but they get the job done. $25, especially for like a kid. It’s cute. Next up is our $100 Roomie. And we’re switching it up a little bit for this one because I couldn’t really find the black and white and gold outfit for $100, but we’re going to do her iconic yellow jacket outfit for this next one. So, this one I found on a website called Cost Sky. Let me know if you guys have ever ordered anything from them. But it was the entire outfit, all of the accessories and the hair for $76. So, if this stuff is even like decently good, I feel like that’s a pretty good deal for how much stuff we got. So, we’re going to put all of this on together since it all came together. And then accessorize. Tell me why this adult size extra large fits very similar to that children’s extra large that I just tried on. Is adult on the website. Maybe they meant like teeny bopper junior extra large. I don’t know. It’s a little tight, but it’s going to work. It’s going to work. I mean, it’s just a little outfit to begin with. It’s all like cropped and short and it’s not bad, though. The jacket could have been better material. It’s just kind of like thin, but we’ve got all the the designs on it. Is that what it says in the movie? The RR room. What the heck? Okay, we got more accessories, though. We’ve got necklace. Cute. And a little tassel. Where does this go? on a bell loop probably. Not bad so far. Time to put the wig on for my cap to give it a fighting chance to look good. I think this wig’s going to be decent, actually. It never looked better. Okay. Ooh, wait. It looks pretty long. It’s definitely like a deeper purple than Roomy’s true hair, but what the And then you clip on the braid. Wait, that’s kind of smart. Wait, Aspen, I might need your help again cuz how am I going to make this look cute? Like you almost need to like braid the braid into this. Well, that hairline is cute. This might be more work than we anticipated, but Whoa. Yeah, it’s long. That’s a good length. If we can get it to look okay. I It’s giving George Washington founding father right now, but we’ll see if we can fix it. [Music] Okay. Yeah, I think that’s about as good as we can get it. Literally, I don’t hate it. Yeah, not bad for like a $75 for the whole thing. Tattoo time. Okay, here’s our tattoos. I’m excited for these ones. I found an Etsy seller that makes these and they look so good. Okay, the catch with this though is once again, we were on a tight budget. So, there are different sets that the seller has for different parts of your body, and I could only afford the shoulder set. They were $4 when I bought them, but since then they have gone up in price a little bit. So, this is what I got for four bucks, though. They’re so little. They could look cool like on my neck, though. Neck or like stomach. Ooh, maybe one on my neck, one on my stomach. Okay, these pants are not Oh, here we go. Wow. Okay. Yeah. And then I think I’ll do one on my stomach. That could be cool. Nice. I love the shape of these ones. That’s so cool. I wish I had more, but we ran out of money. Okay, we do have one more piece of this outfit, and I kind of messed it up. So, for this particular room outfit, she usually wears black boots, but I kind of kept on my white boot trend. So, that’s what we’re doing for this outfit as well. Okay, these ones are from Walmart. They were $16 at the time that I bought them. They may have gone up in price since then, but I think they’re going to be perfect, at least for the other outfit. It’s okay. We can mix and match. Okay, but as you can see, these are cute boots. Actually, they’re a white boot with white laces, but for roomies, I’ve seen both white with black laces and white with gold laces. But in order to stay in our $100 budget, I’m just going with black laces. So, we’re going to relace these. I got 180 in. Hopefully, it’s long enough. Yeah, these were $1, so we’re pulling it off. All right. I think I pulled it off with the two laces, but I’m They lied to me. That was not 180. Okay, time to put them on. And then that gives us her final look. Okay, here’s the complete $100 outfit. What do we think? Is it four times better than the last outfit? I personally think some aspects are like obviously the boots are a major upgrade. I like these tattoos a lot. I don’t know. The hair had potential, but the top part’s just looking a little it’s looking a little shower cappy and I don’t know how to fix it, but it’s not bad for a $100 costume. But I’m excited to see how it compares to the $250 and 20,000. Hopefully, it’s a major upgrade for the next one. Moving on to our $250 Roomie. And we’re going to start with the wig. And part of the reason that I’m starting with the wig is because I have a really sneaky suspicion that it might be exactly the same one as I’m wearing, which is annoying because this was almost $100 for this wig, but this one just like came with the costume. So, I’m hoping at least it’s like pre-b braided or something. Anything. It’s looking pretty identical. Oh, no. I mean, no, it’s the same. It’s the same hair. No. What a scam. This cost guy gave us all of this and the hair. This costs more than the entire costume for just the hair. Where did I get this one? someone on Etsy. Yeah, I’m returning this. Well, good to know. We can just keep this hair on for this next outfit since it’s basically the same thing. Oh my gosh, these photos are totally AI. Wait. Okay. And they also like pulled out some of the bangs. Would that help it look better? Uh, I feel like I just need to Maybe for this outfit you can redo it in a bubble braid. But this makes me mad because like the AI picture makes it look like it’s a nice lace front and it’s not. It’s just the same stupid cap. And then these ones that have a heavy filter, they just kind of like blended this line to make it not look so harsh. But yeah, they just pinned. Look, they just pinned it right to here. So, okay, that’s what we’re going to try for this one. We are getting somewhere. That’s so much better. Wow, I’m her. Okay. Okay, now we can complete the rest of my 250 outfit. I’m excited for these tattoos. They’re also from Etsy, but these ones are supposed to glow in black light like their tattoos actually do in the movie. So, that’s going to be cool. They were $12 per pack. I think I just got one. We’ll see how far they go. So far, this is the most tattoos of anything we’ve gotten. So, I feel like they’ll go pretty far. Oh my gosh, I’m so excited to see how these look. I also like how these ones are more like pastely. I think that’s kind of more like true to the movie. So, nice. Ooh, I might even have enough to do some on my leg. So, we could go real crazy. I’m too scared to do like my whole face, but I could do like at least one or maybe up here. Okay, this one’s going to take a little longer than our other tattoos cuz there’s a lot more pieces, but it should be cool. Thinking. Ooh, cute. One down, like 50 to go. [Music] Tada. [Music] Okay, tattoos are done. I have some on my legs as well. And now it’s time for our outfit. Okay, the outfit for our 250 look. This outfit itself was over $100, so it was like half our budget, but it’s pretty good. I got way too big of a size. I got nervous cuz sometimes I get an extra large and it’s tiny. So, I got a 2XL. And yeah, the shorts are a little big. So, if you ignore that, this is nice. It’s like a a fake leather situation. We got these cute gold flowers on the sides and then the jacket is like full sequins. But that’s not all. I thought the last outfit came with a lot of stuff. Wait till you see everything this came with. Okay. There’s these pieces that strap on this here. That doesn’t feel very secure, but okay. And then a belt. It’s a lot of Velcro. Okay. And then clip on earrings. Oh, these are going to hurt. I know it. Right. And it also came with a whole bag of little hair gems cuz Ruby has like gold little clips throughout her braids. So, we’re going to add those. Okay, this is good. This is by far the best costume, most intricate costume we’ve had so far. I wish I got the right size. And I do have some complaints about it. It’s a lot of Velcro. All the pieces attached with Velcro. And I just feel like if you were wearing this all night long, it would start to come apart. But it’s good. A lot of pieces for the price. Um, also the little cute hair clips and the braid. A few of them came broken. So, I think for our final pro look, I’m going to try to find some higher quality hair gems than these. Okay, last piece of our outfit is the boots. These ones are from US Cosplay is the website, and they were $39.99, which I feel like is not a bad price considering they’re like an actual boot. The gold bottom. Oh, you can tell that they just took gold paper and stuck it on, but you know, that’s fine. And then the gold laces. Oh, it’s going to look so good together, though. These are the cheapest quality boots I’ve ever put on. They’re like the bottom of a boot and then just fabric, which is fine for what I need them for. But I think our other boots that we diyed are better than these. Maybe that’s the secret is we need to just combine the best pieces of all the costumes into one. Yeah, cuz those other boots with this outfit, I think, would be fire. But I would say this one’s the best one so far, especially once we figured out how to put the wig on. grand total of about $250. But I can’t wait to show you how the professional one that was almost 10 times more money ends up looking. We need to test the tattoos in the black light. Oh my gosh. So, this brings us to our final $2,000 outfit or what was supposed to be. Some of the stuff did show up. So, I’m going to show you what did show up and then get into what all went wrong. So, the first piece of this costume that I’m actually so excited about is I found these nails. Cute. They’re even like this chrome. I love them so much. I’m actually so excited for these. And then for the actual tattoos themselves, I had this very elaborate plan. I was going to hire like a face painting artist to actually paint the demon tattoos all over my body. It was going to be incredible. However, since the main part of this costume fell through, there’s really no need to do that. No tattoos for this outfit. We even found this paint that glows UV and black light. Okay, the rest of the pieces of our $2,000 cosplay that did show up. I’m so bummed about this next I mean, I’m happy about this next one. I’m just bummed the rest of the costume didn’t show because this is probably my best thrift find of all time. Okay, so the boots. You know how we’ve been doing white boots with black laces, but I think in the movie she actually has white boots with gold laces. Look what I found. Are you kidding me? I thrifted these. These are like $150 boots and I got them for 65 bucks. They are so beautiful. They would have been so good with our final costume. The next piece of our costume, this, aside from the outfit itself, was the most expensive piece of the costume. It’s the wig. This was custom made for $350. And I’m so excited to see it. I even found a lady in town that like professionally glues them on. It was going to be so good. This makes me so sad. Maybe I should just be here for Halloween so that this doesn’t go to waste. Oh my gosh, look at this. That is genuinely the best roomie hair I have ever seen. That is so pretty. And the braid is so thick. Okay, this is smart. They put it in like a almost like a fishnet stocking so that it stays in place. This is so beautiful. I feel like I need to like do a photo shoot or something still with it cuz it’s Okay, so it comes with like uh this thing that you use to glue it, wig cap, and then also these cute gems. And they look a lot better quality than the ones in our medium price. Like look at this. So cute. And then these clips. They really thought of all the little details. What is this? I don’t know what this is for, but I like it. Do you use this to help like glue it down? I don’t know. Well, I think this is officially my favorite thing of the whole haul. But I have one more really cool piece of this costume. The final accessory of this outfit. Handmade. I haven’t even seen this yet. I’m so excited. The sword. This is awesome. It’s even that like blue and purple ombre. I think it lights up, too. We’ll have to try it in the dark. 3 2 1. Oh my gosh, that is so cool. It literally looks like a starry galaxy. Oh, it’s so good. This outfit would have been so good. Wait, should I try my lightsaber trick that I learned in my last mail video? [Music] So, I found a professional roomy cosplay costume on Etsy, custom made, and it was $800. However, I think I got scammed. So, I’m not going to like shout out the actual seller cuz and it’s been a whole fiasco that like it just says label created and it said that for 2 weeks and when I messaged the seller, they’re just like, I don’t know what’s going on. So, I think maybe the costume is never coming and I’m really bummed about it. And that’s all I have to say. All right.
