Sakuko cosplay from Silent Hill f

I’m making a Sakuko cosplay from the new Silent Hill F. I only have three weeks, so I started with the easiest part, sewing the clothing. Zaku’s outfit is based on traditional Shinto shrine clothing. I went on a little shopping trip to my local fabric store and got everything I needed. First, I worked on the white overcoat. I guess you’re only a true cosplayer when you are working with fabric on the floor. I mean, who has a table that big in their sewing room? Hopefully, one day I will. My back and niece will definitely thank me. All the pieces were pinned together and then it was sewing time. The sewing pattern is basically just a bunch of rectangles. And when you stitch them all together, you get a beautiful chihaya, which is, by the way, the correct term for this type of garment. Since I only have three weeks for this whole project, my friend Nelly came over and helped me with the skirt, which is called hakama. In this case, we didn’t stick to the traditional pattern, but focused more on the in-game reference. Nelly was such a big help, and together we managed to finish the sewing in just one week. In general, we had to kind of fake a few parts of the outfit, like the waistband of the skirt. The white underwruck wearing beneath the jiha, and even the bow in the front is just placed on top to make it look like it does in the game. I’m super happy with how clean and nice everything turned out. But it’s not going to stay that way. Sakoku has this hole going straight through her body, so I had to come up with a way to create the illusion of that. The idea was to make the wound edges look fresh and glossy while keeping the center matte black to create depth. I sculpted an uneven edge using foam clay, sealed it with flex bond, painted it with different fleshy tones, and finished it off with a glossy top coat. I added it to the rope and weathered the surrounding fabric from the right angle with the right lighting. This should give the illusion of a real hole. The last detail for the garment was the red cord. And with that, all the sewing work was finally done. For the final look, there’s still a lot to do, like adding the floral patterns and tons of weathering. So, stay tuned for the next video.

  1. You should get a small rolling thing like a skateboard put square shaped and then put a padding on it so when you’re on the floor, you can put your knees to it and roll around without hurting yourself😂😂 I don’t even know how to do any of this stuff but I just thought about that. I was like why doesn’t she have like a little rolling thing she could roll around and maybe that will help

  2. Edit: Correction! Did some more research and found out there are undivided hakama!

"There are mostly two types of hakama: the divided Hakama called umanori (馬乗り, lit. “horse-riding hakama”) and the undivided Hakama called andon bakama (行灯袴, lit. “lantern hakama”)

The Andon Bakama (行灯袴, lit. “lantern Hakama”) is the undivided form of the Hakama that looks like a tube skirt. More formal and perfect to pair with a Kimono, Andon Bakama were the traditional garment that Japanese people used to wear over their Kimono for important events. "

Original defunt comment: Hakama are actually pants! Like skirt pants. But this does gets the look of it 🙂

  3. I'm wondering if a mirror film would work for the hole? To give it more of the illusion vs solid black. Unless you're doing a photoshoot with a black background, I'm not sure the black would be believable?
Just my thoughts, it's still looking phenomenal as always!

  4. All this WITHOUT a pattern. How I wish I had paid closer attention when my stepmom was trying t teach me how to sew. I can sew but not like this.

  5. For in person conventions, you could add a removable mirror piece to the whole to make it look “see through”, especially when walking around could look cool!

  6. Who has a sewing table that big? Um we do. It was built to accommodate fabric for printing and ended up being used to make robes for Buddhist Nuns. One never knows what one will need a large cutting table for. ❤

  7. Best investion (in my knees and psychic wellness) was even such a table. Never regretted it. Call a carpenter and just do it😊

  8. i didnt mind the game until i saw they were selling bunny girl costumes for the teenager. The girls meant to be a young teen and they sold outfits for her that were adult looking. I have no clue what that does for a horror game but i decided not to buy it nor like it.

thankfully i watched the trailer it and i was right, boring cashgrab that tries to go back to the roots when the roots of the game werent set in japan. its in Maine in america and the story had hardly any ties to the og.

also one of the main villain demon women is just sort of nude? not even Pyramid head nude, like.. boobies but without nip and i hate that.

why is it always the women in horror media who get hyper sexulaized? even pyramid head had a fuckin lil cloth, but she is all sillouette. it just.. feels hmm to me. Like i cannot say its bad because it isnt out yet but i also know it would never be my cup of tea and im dissapointed.

the first trailor i saw made me hyped, the second made me sad. just my opinion but i think its strange we are still not sick of frantizes that should end. x

  9. To be able to see something and know how to make it AND THEN ALSO be able to actually do it! Functional art – absolutely amazing!

  10. the jagged, shiny, flesh coloured edges on the hole pieces looked really good. maybe you could distress the fabric there even further to show them off more? from what i can see in the reference, some tatters of fabric even hang over the hole at the top, it's more uneven. your glued down distressing is very uniform and looks a bit too light and "on purpose" imo

  11. Meine Mama benutzt Tapetentische, wenn sie was größeres schneiden möchte. Die kann man ganz schnell /leicht aufbauen und wieder Abbauen und sie nehmen nicht so viel Platz weg beim Lagern

  12. When my friend did bleach cosplays she always utilized painting the hollow hole black but then adding a smaller mirror in the center to give the illusion of depth and then the space behind you. It was surprisingly amazing actually.

  13. Omg we share our local fabric Store I cant believe it!!!! Ich schaue deine Videos seit Jahren und hatte ja keine Ahnung😂 Verrückt🥹

  14. When you have more time you could use combination of camera and a small flexible oled display to make a genuinely see-trough hole – this costume has enough fabric to hide the hardware and battery needed .
