I was first introduced to this by one of my closest friends @Asta Darling , who was showing me some popular cosplay tips and tricks that I should try. And she was RIGHT!! These hot glue filigree pieces are incredible, they are flexible, paintable and so far, durable. I can see why they are super popular to add to your outfits!! They do take a little practice and a LOT of glue, I think next time I’ll just stick with the cheaper clear stuff instead of repainting the gold.
THERE IS SOME NUANCE: this is not always going to be the right choice for your projects. If you live in hot areas you already know how hot glue acts. Sees with hot lights? Same thing. Liquid latex is a great alternative to this, but you’ll want to make sure you find some with ammonia as that will bleach clothes over time!
But if you’re out to just have fun crafting, this is a great project and a great way to spice up your booktok fits for this seasons balls! #fashion #sewing #BookTok #fantasyfashion #crafting

Thats actually genius becuase theyre flexible enough to have a bit of give so it contours to the body better.

How do you know you're supposed to make the sewing holes before you paint it?
"Hot" tip. If you live in California, Arizona, Nevada, Mexico, and Australia. DONT WEAR THIS IN THE SUMMER!!! I learned that the hard way and I no longer trust hot glue EVER again! Hot glue remelts in the sun!

Many cosplayers also use velcro or snaps to make them removable to make it easier to wash the garment
Where do you get the molds and what do you use to make sure the glue doesn't stick to the silicone mold?
This is how I actually do it and thought they used something else🫠. I didn't think about using the heat gun to make it flat on the back, though so thanks for the tip😁
